Imangaziev noted that on December 30, 2025, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs instructed all diplomatic and consular institutions to work on the legalization of driver's licenses in the countries where they are located.
“We sent samples and instructions for practical application. Considering that the issues concerned European countries, our embassies conducted targeted work with the relevant authorities: appropriate diplomatic notes were sent to the Foreign Ministries of Germany, Denmark, Norway, Poland, Sweden, Finland, and the Baltic states,” he added.
The Deputy Minister emphasized that the work was carried out in two stages: first, documents were sent in electronic format to all European countries, and then the originals were dispatched.“The legalization of the licenses was carried out by 32 diplomatic institutions and 10 consulates general. Three months have passed since the legalization, and the official authorities have not raised any comments or complaints. In some countries, several cases of forged licenses were discovered, which negatively affected the reputation, and negative materials appeared on social media. Nevertheless, the new driver's licenses comply with all international standards,” the Deputy Foreign Minister concluded.
