As of March 26, 2026, 15.7% of the planned irrigated fields in the country have been plowed.
According to the press service data, the spring agricultural plan provides for the processing of 1 million 250 thousand hectares. Currently, 196.3 thousand hectares have been plowed, which corresponds to 15.7% of the total volume. This figure exceeds the results of the same period last year by 39.9 thousand hectares.
By regions:
Batken region — 36.5% (24.5 thousand ha).
Chui region — 25.8% (107.0 thousand ha).
Osh region — 24.2% (43.8 thousand ha).
Jalal-Abad region — 11%.
Issyk-Kul region — 1.5%.
Talas region — 0.3%.
Naryn region — work has not yet begun.
Sowing of spring grains: it is planned to sow 519.3 thousand ha, and 115.6 thousand ha have actually been sown (22.3%).
Wheat — 34.6 thousand ha (34.9% of the plan).
Barley — 80.5 thousand ha (32.6% of the plan).
Corn — work has not yet begun.
Other crops:
Potatoes — planned 66.4 thousand ha, actually sown 2.7 thousand ha (4.1%).
Vegetables — 0.1 thousand ha.
Rice — 0.005 thousand ha.
Sugar beet — main work is being carried out in the Chui region: with a plan of 14.5 thousand ha, 0.4 thousand ha have been sown (2.76%).
Thus, the most active work is being conducted in the Batken, Chui, and Osh regions, while in the north and mountainous areas, the sowing campaign is just beginning.
