This agreement was signed between the government and the International Development Association on October 14, 2025, in Washington.
The allocated funds will be directed towards supporting the country's preschool education system. In particular, the focus will be on expanding children's access to preschool education and testing the model of public-private partnership in this area.
The project includes the following activities:
- repairing and equipping nine existing buildings (including returned kindergartens and public facilities) to create full-day kindergartens;
- reorganizing spaces in existing kindergartens, including reconfiguring sleeping and playrooms to increase the number of groups. A total of 128 spaces are planned to be re-equipped;
- pilot implementation of the public-private partnership model in preschool education with the launch of a voucher system, which will increase the availability of care and education services for children aged one to five;
- organizing and conducting five-day training sessions for preschool institution staff and women entrepreneurs.
