In Bishkek, the epidemiological investigation into the mass poisoning that occurred at the "Buffet" cafeteria has been completed. This was reported by the Department of Disease Prevention and State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance.

According to the information from the agency, the pathogen of salmonellosis — the bacterium Salmonella enteritidis — was found in three individuals.

Eleven victims were diagnosed with food toxicoinfection of a specific etiology, associated with conditionally pathogenic microorganisms such as Staphylococcus aureus and Citrobacter diversus. At the same time, seven patients were recorded with food toxicoinfection of unknown origin.

Laboratory analyses showed the presence of Escherichia coli in samples of mashed potatoes and chicken cutlets. However, swabs from equipment and surfaces did not reveal these bacteria.

On March 17, a control inspection of the establishment was conducted, during which disinfection of the equipment was organized and repeat samples were taken. According to the results of the repeated studies, the products met the requirements of the technical regulation "On the Safety of Food Products," and Escherichia coli was not detected.
Due to the identified violations of sanitary norms, two protocols were drawn up, and fines totaling 46,000 soms were imposed on the establishment.
Among the possible causes of the incident are: violations of food preparation technology, non-compliance with storage and sale conditions of dishes, as well as violations of personal hygiene rules by the staff.

The situation is under control, and additional measures have been implemented to ensure sanitary safety.

It is worth noting that after visiting the cafeteria, 22 people sought medical assistance. The establishment, located at 18 Baytik Baatyr Street, is temporarily closed during the inspection.
