Trees were planted in the recultivated cemetery in the village of Ozgur near Osh.
Mayor Janarbek Akaev, Deputy Prime Minister Edil Baisalov, as well as the ambassadors of France and Uzbekistan in Kyrgyzstan, representatives of educational institutions, and local residents participated in this event.
This cemetery has become the second site to be greened as part of the reclamation program. As part of the project, 250 seedlings of two types of trees — ash and maple — were planted over an area of 70 hundredths.
