Experts of 'Big Altai' held meetings with schoolchildren of the Kyrgyz Republic

Employees of the scientific and educational center "Big Altai" conducted a series of educational events for high school students in Kyrgyzstan.

As part of a new educational project, lectures and meetings were organized by the leading specialist of the center, Ivan Nazarov, who is also the director of the Institute of History and International Relations at Altai State University. The first events took place in Bishkek, at the Aaly Tokombaev School-Gymnasium No. 24, as well as at the S. Davletov Lyceum No. 14 in the city of Manas.

During the meetings, students were informed about the activities of the "Big Altai" center, as well as the prospects for admission and study at Altai State University.

On March 23, a meeting took place in Bishkek where Nazarov, together with the director of the center's representative office at the Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn, Jamyikat Omurova, shared experiences in the field of ethnography and the specifics of scientific research. Jamyikat Omurova also spoke to the students about the work of the representative office at KNU.

It is worth noting that a thematic classroom "Big Altai" is already functioning at School-Gymnasium No. 24, and the opening of a specialized lecture hall is expected in May.

On March 25, the events continued at Lyceum No. 14 in Manas, where Ivan Nazarov presented the documentary film "In Search of Common History," dedicated to the international ethnographic expedition of the center.

The film sparked lively interest among the students, who asked questions about life in Altai and the conditions for admission to Altai State University.

The project organizers noted that the "Big Altai" initiative includes educational programs, methodological seminars, and lectures aimed at studying the historical and cultural heritage of Turkic-speaking peoples. There are also plans to involve scholars from Russia and Central Asia to develop academic exchanges and additional education programs.
