Present at the event were Bayaly Dosaliev, head of the Kochkor District State Administration, chairman of the district court Ömürbek Sarybaev, as well as members of the elder courts, heads of ayil okmotu, and chairpersons of village councils.
During the meeting, the chairman of the court emphasized that the elder courts play a key role in maintaining public order and resolving various disputes. He also noted the need to allocate a separate space for the work of the elder courts and to provide them with office supplies.
Furthermore, he added that the elder courts can address family conflicts if there are no signs of a crime or offense, thus avoiding the transfer of cases to court. They also have the right to consider property disputes and issues related to the division of joint property of spouses.
In his opinion, the effective work of the elder courts could help prevent many divorces.
During the discussion, participants shared their successes and the problems they face. The akim and the judge answered their questions.
At the end of the meeting, methodological brochures were distributed, and the heads of the ayil okmotu were tasked with providing the elder courts with the necessary working premises and funding for their activities.
