Boxing Diplomacy: Kyrgyzstan Strengthens Its Position in the World Boxing Rankings

Three Kyrgyz boxers have entered the ranks of the world leaders ahead of the World Cup – 2026

Kyrgyzstan continues to strengthen its position in international boxing. The March update of the World Boxing rankings recorded the achievements of three athletes from our country.

The most notable results:

- Munarbek Seyitbek uulu secured 3rd place in the under 60 kg category, with 975 points earned from his second place finish at the Olympic Games in Paris.

- Ikhtiyar Nishonov (under 70 kg) is in 8th place, while Nuradin Rustambek uulu (under 75 kg) is in 13th place.

The new rankings took into account the results of performances at the World Boxing Challenge tournaments, World Cups, World Cup finals, World Championships, and the Olympic Games.

The fact that three boxers from Kyrgyzstan are in the upper part of the World Boxing rankings highlights not a random success, but a systematic progress in the training of athletes in the country.

The updated rankings were announced ahead of the new season of the World Cup.
