The reconstruction work of Atatürk Park, which started in August 2025, is approaching its final stage. In May-June, city residents will be able to enjoy the updated area and atmosphere, where it will be convenient and comfortable to spend time in nature.
Currently, machinery is actively working in the park, and the outlines of the new appearance can already be seen. Pedestrian paths with a total area of 77,000 square meters have already been laid, and sports and workout zones are being created.
Once dense thickets of trees are being replaced with new areas for recreation and walks. Workers from the municipal enterprise "Bishkekzelenstroy" are trying to preserve as much greenery as possible — while removing dry trees, they plan to plant new trees and shrubs in their place.

The central alley stands out especially: a modern fountain has appeared here, and in the evening, the space will be bathed in the soft light of a new lighting system.
At the back of the park, the construction of stables is nearing completion, where horses and ponies will soon be housed. This will become a zone for hippotherapy for people with disabilities — a key element of the project aimed at social assistance.

Rustam Toktaliyev, the deputy director of the contracting company responsible for the reconstruction, reported that other important facilities for the park will also be developed simultaneously. Among them are a center for yoga and chess (about 600 square meters), a museum located next to the monument to Afghan soldiers, and an administrative building for park workers.
According to him, there will be no large attractions in the new park — the space will be oriented towards walks. Perhaps only small swings for the youngest will be added.
Engineering works are also actively underway — two wells have been drilled for the creation of an artificial pond and irrigation system. The length of the irrigation system has been increased to approximately 4.5 kilometers, which will help solve the problem of water shortage in the hot months.
Rustam Toktaliyev noted that many decisions were made with the convenience of residents in mind. "We laid the first layer of asphalt back in October last year to make it comfortable for people to move around. There were complaints on social media about the quality of the asphalt, but this is only the first layer — it was done for convenience, so people wouldn't walk in mud. We are finishing the work, and soon a new layer will be laid," he added.
The reconstruction work is under constant control of the city authorities — Mayor Aibek Junushaliev has repeatedly conducted inspections. It is expected that in May-June, high-ranking officials of the country will attend the opening of the updated park.
The final works are nearing completion, and the contractors are confident that the result will meet the expectations of the residents. "When everything is finished, it will be beautiful. People will definitely like it," concluded Rustam Toktaliyev.
