The monument to Aydarbekov is falling apart near the Ministry of Culture - letters have fallen off

In the center of Bishkek, right across from the Ministry of Culture, there is a monument to Imanaly Aydarbekov, which is currently in unsatisfactory condition. Witnesses report that some letters have fallen off the pedestal, making the inscription on the monument partially illegible.

The condition of this monument raises questions, especially considering that it is located in the very heart of the capital, right in front of the agency responsible for preserving cultural heritage.

Imanaly Aydarbekov was an outstanding Kyrgyz statesman and public figure who played a key role in the establishment of Soviet power in Kyrgyzstan. In the 1920s and 1930s, he held high positions in the government and made significant contributions to the organization of governance in the republic.
