Starting April 8, the UK is increasing the cost of almost all types of entry visas.
According to the new rates, the cost of a short-term tourist visa, valid for up to six months, will rise from £127 to £135.
Long-term visas will also become more expensive: a two-year visa will now cost £506, a five-year visa will be £903, and a ten-year visa will be £1,128. The changes also affect those planning to study or receive medical treatment in the UK.
The cost of a student visa will be £558, and obtaining a visa for private medical treatment will require a payment of £234. The fee for a transit visa for passengers will also increase to £74.5.
Additionally, for citizens of countries with a visa-free regime with the UK, the cost of the electronic travel authorization (ETA) will rise from £16 to £20.
