Technical inspection, traffic jams, accidents involving animals — residents of At-Bashy voiced their concerns at a meeting with the head of the Internal Affairs Department.
According to the press service of the regional police, the meeting was organized in accordance with the instructions of President Sadyr Japarov regarding the timely and quality consideration of citizens' appeals, as well as by the order of the Minister of Internal Affairs, Police General Ulan Niyazbekov. The event was attended by the head of the Internal Affairs Department, Zholboldy Kochkonov, the akim of the At-Bashinsky district, Mukhtar Sherbaev, and the district prosecutor, Kubanychbek Nuruullaev.
At the meeting, Zholboldy Kochkonov reported on the ongoing major renovation of the At-Bashinsky ROVD building and the construction of a modern sports hall for employees. He also noted that new vehicles and necessary conditions had been provided for the territorial police units in the rural areas. These measures are aimed at improving public service and increasing work efficiency.
During the meeting, residents raised several pressing issues:
- road safety problems — the increasing number of traffic accidents involving animals on the Bishkek — Naryn — Torugart highway;
- technical inspection — the necessity of passing technical inspection for right-hand drive vehicles;
- transport infrastructure — the emergence of traffic jams at the central market and a lack of parking spaces for cars from villages;
- prevention of traffic violations — the need to strengthen explanatory work on compliance with traffic rules, distance, and parking on internal streets;
- safety of students — the need to ensure the safety of schoolchildren, the opening of a special school for discipline violators, as well as the creation of sports halls and clubs for children's leisure;
- domestic violence — tightening measures against individuals committing domestic violence.
