In order to prevent the spread of infectious diseases among animals, enhanced veterinary control measures have been implemented in Kyrgyzstan. This was reported by the local veterinary service's epizootic control department.

It is noted that the country is monitoring the epizootic situation in other regions where disease outbreaks are observed. Based on the data received, temporary restrictions may be imposed on the import of animals and animal products.

Additionally, measures are being taken to prevent the import of contaminated goods, which is part of the strategy to ensure veterinary and biological safety.

The department emphasized that these efforts are aimed at protecting public health, ensuring food security, and maintaining epizootic welfare in the republic.

These measures comply with international standards, including the recommendations of the World Organisation for Animal Health, and are implemented in accordance with the Law on Veterinary Medicine.

The veterinary service urges citizens and business entities to strictly adhere to the requirements of veterinary legislation.
