More than 6,000 Bishkek residents may be left without electricity due to debts

The electric grid enterprise of Bishkek (a branch of OJSC "NESC") informs its customers about the necessity of timely payment of bills for consumed electricity. Due to accumulated accounts receivable, on March 24, a remote disconnection of more than 6,000 consumers will be carried out in the capital, as reported in the press release of BPES.

For the disconnection, an automated electricity consumption monitoring and accounting system (AISKUE) will be used. To avoid temporary inconveniences, energy providers advise subscribers to settle their debts before the disconnection begins.

As practice shows, the digitalization of electricity accounting allows for a reduction in commercial losses by 20-30 percent. However, the high load on the networks and the wear and tear of equipment, which in some areas of the capital reaches 80 percent, require consumers to strictly adhere to payment discipline to maintain the reliable operation of the system.
