Kyrgyzstani in the USA faces up to 28.5 years in prison in a fatal traffic accident case

According to The Commercial Review, Bekzhan B. is charged with several counts, including four cases of causing death by negligence. The investigation believes that the accident occurred due to driver fatigue, speeding, and ignoring safe distance.

According to police data, Bekzhan was driving a Freightliner truck on a highway in Jay County. When the tractor in front of him slowed down due to heavy traffic, the Kyrgyzstani was unable to stop in time, veered into the oncoming lane, and collided with a Chevrolet van.

He is currently in custody, with bail set at $100,000. If the court decides to find him guilty on all counts, he could face a maximum sentence of 28.5 years in prison.
