In the Kochkor District, an agricultural census has begun
According to information from Jakshylyk uulu Zamirbek, the head of the Kochkor district department of state statistics, this event is being carried out based on the recommendations of the UN Statistical Commission. This year, the census is taking place in a fully electronic format for the first time in the country's history, which is a significant innovation.
The main tasks of the census are as follows:
- to obtain accurate and objective data on the state of the agricultural sector;
- to ensure that statistics meet international standards;
- to create a database for developing effective solutions in agricultural policy.
The census covers all participants in agricultural production: state and collective farms, farmer and individual agricultural enterprises, as well as owners of collective gardens and plots. Information on land use is collected based on official documents confirming property rights and land categories.
Each registrar will carry a special badge with an individual QR code that confirms their authority.
The Kochkor district has high agricultural potential, which is reflected in the structure of the census:
- The population is 70,850 people (12,187 households);
- Coverage: 5 ayil districts and 35 populated areas;
- The census infrastructure includes 2 coordination departments, 9 instructor sections, and 44 registration areas.
The results of the census will serve as the basis for creating master plans for regional development and forming a long-term strategy for the country's food security.
