This year, the first phase of asphalting has begun in the Issyk-Kul region, which is part of the preparations for road construction planned for 2026, as reported by the Ministry of Transport.
According to the information, within the framework of an agreement with the Russian Federation, the first batch of bitumen intended for road construction has already arrived in the country. Currently, 1160 tons of bitumen have been delivered to warehouses in Zhel-Aryk and Kyiamat-Kyrkool, and another 860 tons have been sent to the southern region — to Shamal-Sai.
The Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications, Tairiel Zhanibekov, conducted an inspection of the works on the Balykchy — Barskoon — Karakol highway, where he provided a number of instructions to the contracting organizations.
The ministry emphasized that the preparatory work is proceeding on schedule, which will allow for a timely transition to the active phase of road construction.
