In At-Bashy, the 130th anniversary of the first enlightener Mardanshin Shamsi was celebrated
Attending the event were the deputy akim of the district V. Murzalybekova, the people's poet of Kyrgyzstan T. Sultanov, as well as Shamsi's fellow countrymen, his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other relatives.
During the evening, guests recalled the life path and achievements of M. Shamsi, his significant contribution to the education of youth, love for knowledge, and the example he left for society.
The event was accompanied by music from the staff of the district cultural center named after S. Andabekov.
Mardanshin Shamsi was born in 1896 and passed away in 1959. His final journey took place in the city of Frunze, where he was buried at the Ala-Archa cemetery.
