In Bishkek, at the T. Usubaliev Square, an official handover of 117 new service vehicles for cultural institutions managed by the Ministry of Culture took place. The event was attended by Adylbek Kasymaliev, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Presidential Administration, as well as the Minister of Culture, Information and Youth Policy Mirbek Mambetaliev and other representatives of the cultural sector.
In his address, Kasymaliev emphasized that active measures are being taken under the instruction of President Sadyr Japarov. He noted that consistent work is underway to strengthen the material and technical base in the cultural sector, as well as to update infrastructure, support creative teams, and improve working conditions for cultural workers.
“Every year, the funding for culture increases. In 2021, the budget was 2 billion 800 million soms, and by 2025 it will grow to 6.9 billion soms. Thus, over the past five years, state support for culture has increased almost 2.5 times. In 2025, 851 million soms will be allocated to strengthen the material and technical base of cultural institutions, which will allow for the purchase of necessary equipment and technology. Funds are also allocated annually for updating infrastructure and constructing new cultural facilities across the country,” said the head of the government.
In addition, Adylbek Kasymaliev noted that this initiative is another step by the state in support of culture. A total of 176.9 million soms were allocated for the purchase of 117 vehicles.
