According to the police, these activities are aimed at preventing domestic violence, preventing offenses within the framework of the "Arsenal" operation, as well as protecting citizens from internet fraud.
During the explanatory work, citizens are informed that recently there has been an increase in cases where unknown individuals, through various messengers, social networks, and phone calls, impersonate relatives or acquaintances to ask for money. Additionally, attempts to obtain personal data and bank details from citizens by sending suspicious links are being recorded.
In this regard, the police urge citizens to observe the following safety measures:
- do not click on suspicious links;
- do not trust SMS or messages from unknown numbers;
- if a message or call appears to be from your relatives, be sure to call back and verify the information;
- do not share your bank card numbers, codes, or personal data with anyone;
- refrain from responding to suspicious calls and messages and always verify the information.
“If you or your loved ones have become victims of internet fraud, please contact the police immediately,” the message states.
The police urge citizens to be cautious and pay special attention to the security of their personal data.
