Kasymaliev visited the regional hospital, the main building of which was constructed in 1968. He inspected the departments and checked on the progress of the construction of a new building with 350 beds. The completion of this facility, consisting of eight blocks, is scheduled for 2027.
During the visit, Kasymaliev issued a number of instructions:
- ensure compliance with the deadlines for the completion of construction;
- provide young doctors with apartments through state mortgage programs;
- explore the possibility of building service housing.
During the visit, a project for an international medical cluster worth $150 million was also presented. The new center, with 510 beds, will specialize in oncology and cardiology, creating about 750 new jobs.
In addition, Kasymaliev visited the anti-plague department and the forensic medical examination bureau, the buildings of which were constructed in 1894 and 1897, respectively. Due to their emergency condition and non-compliance with biosecurity standards, the relevant authorities were instructed to consider the possibility of constructing new buildings and acquiring modern equipment.
