In Kyrgyzstan, the implementation of construction projects in the healthcare sector is actively ongoing. This was announced by Tilek Mamadaliev, the First Deputy Minister of Health, at a joint meeting of the parliamentary groups "Isheniim" and "Ala-Too".
According to Mamadaliev, the construction of a new building on the territory of the infectious clinical hospital is planned in Bishkek. Construction work is set to begin by the end of this year with the support of the Republic of Korea, as part of an agreement signed in 2023. A concessional loan of 27 million dollars has been allocated for these purposes, which will be used for both construction and training of medical personnel.
Additionally, work is underway in the Talas and Osh regions to create new medical institutions totaling 14.5 million euros, with an expected opening in the first quarter of next year.
In 2025, as part of state and donor programs, it is planned to put into operation 10 new facilities, including family centers, perinatal institutions, infectious disease and maternity wards, as well as an anti-tuberculosis hospital in Kara-Balta.
“The construction of a 300-bed building in the clinical hospital of the Osh region and a family medical center in Kara-Suu is already nearing completion,” added Mamadaliev.
