In the city of Osh, 3 streets and 3 schools have been renamed

Recently, changes were made to the names of streets in Osh: the streets of A. Kuligov, M. Dzhinnakh, and number 2 in the village of Kyzyl-Kyshtak received new names. This was reported by Bekmamat Suranchiev, the chief specialist of the city hall on urban planning and municipal property.

The decision to rename the streets and schools was made at the XIX session of the Osh City Council, which took place on March 4. The deputies approved the proposed changes.

Changes in street names:

- The street of Abdulla Kuligov is now named after Sooronbay Jusuyev — a Hero of the Kyrgyz Republic. The changes affect the section from the intersection of T. Kasymbekov and B. Osmonov streets to the "Dostuk" border.

- The street of M. Dzhinnakh has been renamed in honor of police officer Bakir Estebesovich Toktomushev.

- Street No. 2 in the village of Ishkavan (Kyzyl-Kyshtak territorial administration) is now named after Azizbek Baktyyarov, who died in 2021 during the conflict at the Kyrgyz-Tajik border.

Renaming of schools:

- Secondary school No. 7 named after N. Narimanov is now named after Absamat Masalievich Masaliev, a statesman and Hero of the Kyrgyz Republic.

- Secondary school No. 68 has been named after Bektur Yslam uulu, who died in 2021 at the Kyrgyz-Tajik border.

- Secondary school No. 65 named after M. Sabirov is now named after Toktogul Tolegon Kasymbekov, a national writer and Hero of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Bekmamat Suranchiev also noted that the session discussed issues of transferring properties between various forms of ownership. In particular, the deputies approved:

- the transfer of land plots to the management of the Osh city hall for the expansion of A. Navoi street (an area of 1940 square meters) and a plot near the water intake on G. Aitieva street (872 square meters).

- the transfer of a land plot of 2000 square meters located at B. Ormonov street, 20A (Tölöykön) to the State Agency for Management of State Property.

- the transfer to state ownership of special equipment, including a garbage truck of the "DONGFENG" brand and a service car "CHEVROLET AVEO".
