In the city of Osh, the school has been renamed in honor of Absamat Masaliev.

On February 25, a solemn ceremony took place in Osh, during which secondary school No. 7 was named after the outstanding statesman Absamat Masaliev. The educational institution reopened after a major renovation that significantly updated its appearance and interior spaces.
Tynchtykbek Dosmuratov, head of the Osh City Education Department, reported that 4,615 students are currently enrolled at the Absamat Masaliev school. “The first building was constructed in 1981, and the second in 2020. Since its construction, the building had not undergone major repairs. Thanks to the work carried out, the school now fully meets modern standards, ensuring safety and comfort for students,” he noted.

According to the Capital Construction Department of the Osh City Hall, the project was implemented by the company OsOO "Comfort House Group." The total cost of the work amounted to over 82 million soms, with funding provided from the republican budget. The renovation began in August 2025 and was completed in December of the same year.
According to data from the Ministry of Justice, Turgunbaev Seitek Turgunbaevich is the founder and head of OsOO "Comfort House Group." The company was registered on June 3, 2025, and underwent re-registration on July 30, 2025. The main activity of the company is related to the construction of residential and non-residential buildings.
Absamat Masaliev, born on April 10, 1933, in the village of Alysh, Kadamjay District, passed away on July 31, 2004.
In 1953, he completed his studies at the Kyzyl-Kiya Mining Technical School, then in 1956 at the Moscow Mining Institute, and in 1964 at the Almaty Higher Party School.
His career spans numerous positions, starting from assistant chief of a mine to high-ranking positions in the political sphere of the republic. After beginning his work in 1956, he held various positions, including deputy chief engineer of a mine and inspector of the Committee for Party-State Control. From 1966 to 1971, he worked as head of the industrial-transport department of the Osh Regional Party Committee, and later as the first secretary of the Tash-Kumyr City Party Committee.
From 1972 to 1985, Masaliev served as chairman of the Frunze City Executive Committee and secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Kyrgyzstan, and then, from 1985 to 1991, as an inspector of the Central Committee of the CPSU and first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Kyrgyzstan.
From 1993 to 1996, he headed the State Mining and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Masaliev made a significant contribution to the development of the state structure, being a member of the Central Committee of the CPSU and a deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR for several convocations, as well as a deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic since 2000.
He also held the position of chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Communist Party of Kyrgyzstan and was a member of the Executive Committee of the Council of the CPSU–CPSU.
For his services, he was awarded the Orders of the October Revolution, the Red Banner of Labor, and "Manas" of the III degree, as well as other medals.
In 1996, the rural district named after Absamat Masaliev was established, located 35 km from the district center at an altitude of 1,100 meters above sea level. The district includes the villages of Kara-Dobo, Olagysh, Kakyrr, Kojo, Alysh, Tash-Korgon, and Lezhkoz.
The population of the district is approximately 13,000 people, with 5 schools, 1 incomplete school, 1 kindergarten, 4 medical institutions, 1 madrasah, and 10 mosques operating here.
