In Kyrgyzstan, the creation of an Atlas of geological maps has begun, initiated by the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic in collaboration with the M.M. Adyshev Institute of Geology at the National Academy of Sciences of the country.
This project involves the publication of a scientific work titled "Atlas of Geological, Geophysical, and Mineralogical Maps of the Kyrgyz Republic." A temporary team of researchers from the Institute of Geology is participating in its development, working closely with specialists from the Ministry of Natural Resources.
The recent second working meeting on this project gathered representatives from the Institute of Geology, where key aspects of the work on the Atlas were discussed. It is expected that the final product will be a comprehensive scientific cartographic publication reflecting the geological structure of Kyrgyzstan, its geophysical characteristics, and mineral potential.
The Atlas is planned to be published in two volumes, available in Russian and English, making it more attractive to international scientists and potential investors.
The creation of the Atlas aims to popularize the geological resources of Kyrgyzstan and expand international scientific cooperation. It will also contribute to increasing the investment attractiveness of the mining and subsoil use sector.
Representatives of the Ministry of Natural Resources emphasize that this project will strengthen the scientific and strategic potential of the country and will serve as a foundation for the long-term development of the geological and industrial complex and the integration of Kyrgyzstan into the global scientific community.
