The Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic has initiated work on the creation of an atlas that will include geological, geophysical, and mineral resource maps of the region.
The department reported that the second working meeting on this project took place in collaboration with the M.M. Adyshev Institute of Geology at the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The planned atlas will be a detailed scientific publication reflecting the geological structure of the territory, its geophysical characteristics, and mineral resource potential.
The project provides for the publication of the atlas in two languages — Russian and English, which will ensure its accessibility for the international community, scientists, and investors.
The main objectives of creating the atlas are:
- popularization of the country's geological resources;
- expansion of international scientific cooperation;
- increasing attractiveness for investment in the mining industry and subsoil use.
The Ministry emphasizes that this project strengthens the scientific and strategic potential of Kyrgyzstan and creates a foundation for the long-term development of the geological-industrial complex, as well as integration into the global scientific community.
