In Kyrgyzstan, the transition of former politicians and EEC employees to public service will be simplified

Former officials can occupy administrative positions without the need for a competition

In the Kyrgyz Republic, it has been proposed to amend the law regarding state civil and municipal service. The aim of the new bill is to simplify the process of transitioning to administrative positions for those who previously worked in the Eurasian Economic Commission, as well as for former state and municipal officials holding political positions. This project has passed its third reading in the Jogorku Kenesh.

The initiative was developed by the State Agency for Public Service and Local Self-Government at the request of the presidential administration.

According to the proposed changes, citizens of Kyrgyzstan who have worked in the Eurasian Economic Commission for more than two years will be able to occupy administrative positions without participating in competitions. These specialists undergo national selection before being sent to the commission and possess international experience.

It is also proposed to simplify the transition process for those who previously held political positions, including former leaders and other public servants whose terms have expired.

The authors of the bill are confident that such changes will allow for a more effective use of the management and international experience of these specialists in public service.
