In Nookat, the implementation of an alternative road project is beginning, which will bypass the city on the international highway Osh–Batken–Razakov. This initiative, as reported by Turmush, aims to reduce traffic congestion in the city center.

According to the information, the project was developed to improve transportation infrastructure and decrease traffic jams.
“The Nookat District State Administration, together with local organizations, has developed plans for the bypass road, and construction work will begin soon,” the message emphasizes.

The road will start from the rural district named after T. Zulpuyev and will pass through A. Mirmakhmudov, Gulistan, Jany-Nookat, ending in the rural district of Bel. The length will be 16 kilometers, with a total cost of 1 billion 428 million 564 thousand 240 soms.

It was previously reported about the visit of former Deputy Prime Minister Kamchybek Tashiev on July 22, 2024, who familiarized himself with the bypass road project in Nookat.

This was informed by the former authorized representative of the president in the Osh region, Elchibek Jantayev.

There will be two bridges on the bypass road, each 12 meters long, with the project cost estimated at 360 million soms. The road will receive IV technical category.

Kamchybek Tashiev questioned the sufficiency of 360 million soms (approximately 4 million dollars) for the implementation of the 18-kilometer project.

He also emphasized that if the road is built, it should be done thoroughly. “If such a road is to be built, it should be robust, like a highway, considering that large trucks will travel on it. It is necessary to provide parking areas of 5 hectares on each side,” he noted.

This issue will be reconsidered by the Ministry of Transport and Communications.
