The Ministry of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic has announced an upcoming salary increase for all employees in the education sector. Starting from April 1, 2026, thanks to the initiative of President Sadyr Japarov, salaries will be doubled compared to current figures.
The ministry noted that rumors suggesting the increase applies only to teachers of STEM subjects, while history, geography, Kyrgyz language, and other subject teachers will see no changes, are not true. Information about reducing hours for these subjects has also been refuted.
The salary increase will affect all teachers, regardless of their specialty, highlighting the important role of educators in the development of society.
“Every teacher in a school, by educating the younger generation, fulfills a strategic state mission,” emphasized representatives of the ministry.
