The Ministry of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic reports that starting from April 1, 2026, all employees in the education sector will receive a salary increase of 100% from the current level. This decision was made possible by the initiative of President Sadyr Japarov.
The ministry refuted rumors that the salary increase would only affect teachers of STEM subjects, while teachers of history, Kyrgyz language, geography, and other subjects would remain unchanged. Additionally, the information regarding a reduction in hours for these subjects is not true.
The salary increase affects all educators, regardless of their subject specialization, and is aimed at recognizing the important role of teachers in the development of society.
“Every teacher in a school, by educating the younger generation, fulfills a strategic state mission,” emphasized the Ministry of Education.
