From March 11 to April 27, the Universiade is taking place in the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek. This information was announced by the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic.
According to preliminary data, between 2,500 and 3,000 students from various universities across the country are participating in this large-scale student sports event.
As part of the Universiade, competitions are scheduled in a number of sports disciplines, including football, volleyball, basketball, athletics, wrestling, and table tennis. This tournament will serve as an important platform for identifying the strongest student teams and athletes in Kyrgyzstan.
The grand opening of the Universiade took place on March 11 in Bishkek. Organizers emphasize that these competitions are aimed at developing student sports and promoting an active and healthy lifestyle among the youth.
