A working meeting was held at the Ministry of Education dedicated to the "School Nutrition" module within the framework of the automated information system "E-Kündölük".

The meeting was attended by the Deputy Minister of Education for Digital Development, Lira Samykbaeva, ministry staff, representatives from the World Food Programme of the United Nations, as well as experts from LLC "ULUT Soft", the Russian Institute of Industry Nutrition (SIFI), and school employees responsible for organizing nutrition, including boarding school No. 71 and secondary school No. 64.

During the discussion, the functional capabilities of the "School Nutrition" module were examined, and ideas for improving its use in educational institutions were proposed to adapt the system to real conditions.

Authorities are confident that the digitalization of school nutrition is an important step towards improving the educational system.

Lira Samykbaeva noted that the implementation of the "School Nutrition" module will contribute to transparent and effective planning, accounting, and control of nutrition in schools.

Digital technologies will help reduce administrative costs, simplify the work of educational institution staff, and create conditions for ensuring safe and quality nutrition for children. Therefore, it is critically important that the system's development takes into account the real needs of educational institutions.

Based on the participants' suggestions, the following steps were identified to improve the module's operation.

Currently, about 92 percent of schools in Kyrgyzstan provide hot meals. Each primary school student is allocated 14 soms per day. In Bishkek, this amount is 22 soms funded by the city budget, while in Osh it is 15 soms.
