In Kyrgyzstan, the Federation of Shuttlecock and Lyanga was established, registered by the Ministry of Justice in December of last year. The chairman of the federation, Bolotbek Maripov, shared this information with local media.
In an interview with the publication "Slovo Kyrgyzstana," he noted that this federation is unique for the post-Soviet space.
Maripov clarified: "Although small tournaments are already being held in Kazakhstan, the Caucasus, as well as in Buryatia and Tuva, we have not been able to find similar federations. We are the first country to choose this path, with the aim of structured development of the game and the implementation of qualification standards."
Currently, the federation is actively working on creating rules, as well as training coaches and referees. If all necessary documents are processed, teaching in the specialty "lyanga" may begin at the Physical Culture Academy in September.
