The Cabinet banned the sale of unhealthy food near schools
According to document No. 147, which was signed by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev on March 5, a ban is introduced on the opening of food outlets selling unhealthy food within 100 meters of educational institutions.
In conditions of high-density construction and lack of space, the construction of 4-story schools is permitted. The fourth floor will be allocated for service rooms and recreation areas, as well as additional classrooms for working with students, such as a psychologist's office, speech therapist's office, and social educator's office.
If the school is located in an adapted building, it must include classrooms, cafeterias, medical offices, recreation areas, as well as administrative and auxiliary rooms, toilets, and cloakrooms.
Basement floors can be used for cafeterias, libraries, sports halls, and assembly halls, but only if sanitary standards regarding lighting, temperature control, and ventilation are met.
Safe evacuation routes from all specified premises must also be provided, and strict adherence to fire safety rules and emergency evacuation procedures is required.
In sports halls, it is recommended to install separate changing rooms and toilets for boys and girls. Showers may be installed if the building allows for it structurally. If it is not possible to create a dedicated sports hall, nearby sports facilities can be used.
