In Bishkek, activities continue to monitor compliance with environmental requirements by motor vehicles.
As part of a raid conducted on March 9, employees of the Ministry of Ecology and the State Environmental Protection Agency identified vehicles whose emissions exceed established norms.
During the inspection, two cases were found where the pollution level exceeded permissible values by more than 50%. Protocols were drawn up against the drivers who violated the rules in accordance with Article 234 of the Code of Offenses of Kyrgyzstan. As a result, the total amount of fines reached 15,000 soms.
Representatives of the relevant agency noted that such raids will become a regular practice, as it is part of a strategy to improve the environmental situation in Bishkek. They also urged drivers to monitor the condition of their vehicles and carry out timely maintenance.
