In Manas, after a three-hour debate, deputies elected a new chairman of the kenesh.

During an extraordinary session held on March 9, the deputies of the Manas council conducted elections for a new chairperson. A special commission was formed for this purpose. However, in the first round of voting, neither of the two candidates was able to secure enough votes.
After nearly three hours of discussions, in the second round of elections, 33-year-old deputy Askat Talant uulu was elected as the chairperson of the council.
The previous chairperson was Nurtilek Bolotov, who has left his position.
According to the deputies, the new speaker of the council has become one of the youngest leaders of local self-government in his region.
In the near future, Askat Talant uulu will begin to fulfill his new duties.
