Bigser Cup 2026: Bishkek hosts an international gymnastics tournament

In Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, the international tournament Bigser Cup 2026 has kicked off, gathering the strongest gymnasts from various countries. The event is taking place at the "Gazprom - for children" sports and health complex and holds special significance this year, as it has been included in the calendar of the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) for the first time, highlighting its high status.

More than 200 participants from six countries, including Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan, are competing for medals. Evgenia Bykovskaya, president of the Bishkek Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation, noted that obtaining the FIG license was made possible due to the quality organization of previous tournaments, professional judging, and support from the participating countries.

The competition program includes both individual performances and group exercises, making the tournament spectacular and diverse. For many gymnasts, this tournament represents not only an opportunity to strengthen international ties but also an important step towards confirming sports qualifications and identifying the best in their age groups.

The results of the competitions, including the names of the winners, will be announced on March 8, the final day of the tournament. Organizers emphasize that holding such events helps popularize rhythmic gymnastics in the Kyrgyz Republic and raises the skill level of local athletes on the international stage.
