According to local authorities, these activities are being carried out as part of the presidential decree "Zhasyl Muras" ("Green Legacy"), which aims at greening and improving urban areas.
As reported by the municipality, 100 saplings of white birch were planted on Frunze Street. Authorities emphasized that this is just the first part of the planned activities aimed at the ecological improvement of the city.
Additionally, greening efforts continued in other areas: another 100 Tien Shan firs were planted on Kudryashov Street, and the central park was adorned with 50 saplings of catalpa.
Local authorities plan to continue efforts to increase green spaces in the city.
