The Patrol Service of the Police reports that the incident occurred on March 2, 2026, at around 20:40 on Asanaliev Street. The driver of the scooter model "Muravey," a man born in 1986 named M.M.S., struck a pedestrian, a 1978-born citizen named O.M. After the collision, he left the scene of the accident.
Employees of the Investigation Department of the Patrol Service, after conducting operational search activities, were able to identify the offender and detained him the following day.
As a result of the investigation, it was revealed that at the time of the collision, the driver was under the influence of alcohol.
The pedestrian, who sustained serious injuries, is currently in a coma.
The detainee has been handed over to investigative authorities for further investigation.
