The Council for Justice Affairs has completed the stage of reviewing applications and accompanying documents from candidates wishing to fill vacant judge positions in the Constitutional Court, the Supreme Court, and local courts. This was reported by the press service of the Council.
According to the agency, after verification, a list was compiled of those who passed the selection to participate in the competitive process.
For one vacancy in the Constitutional Court, there were 9 applicants, while for two vacancies in the Supreme Court, 12 candidates submitted applications. All of them were allowed to participate in the competitive selection after analyzing their documents.
It should be noted that for 13 vacant judge positions in the local courts of the Kyrgyz Republic, 265 applications were received. After preliminary verification, 260 candidates were allowed to compete, one applicant decided to withdraw their candidacy, and four candidates did not pass the selection.
One candidate did not reach the required threshold score in the previous selection, and the established period of one year since their participation has not yet expired. One participant did not submit all the necessary documents, and two others did not meet the criteria of integrity.
The Council will continue its work, following the established rules of the competitive selection.
