The program helps people receiving social assistance to become individual entrepreneurs.
On March 5, a certificate awarding ceremony for participants of the "Social Contract" project took place in the Manas and Bakai-Ata districts, reported the press service of the Ministry of Labor.
During the event, 71 low-income families received certificates totaling 150,000 soms: 31 families from the Manas district and 40 from Bakai-Ata. These funds are allocated as part of a state program aimed at supporting low-income citizens in realizing their business ideas.
Among the participants of the ceremony were Deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh Medina Kairylbekova, First Deputy Minister of Labor, Social Protection and Migration Kamchybek Dosmatov, as well as representatives of local authorities.
This year, 682 low-income families in the Talas region will participate in the project, which will positively impact the social situation in the region.
Kamchybek Dosmatov noted that the "Social Contract" program aims to transition needy citizens from the category of social assistance recipients to individual entrepreneurs, who will be able not only to support their families but also to create new jobs.
This initiative, he said, contributes to the development of regions and the implementation of the National Development Strategy of the Kyrgyz Republic.
According to the Ministry of Labor, over 94.2% of program participants are women, many of whom live in rural areas. In this regard, Kamchybek Dosmatov congratulated all women on the upcoming International Women's Day.
