It states that in 2014, Russian specialists became acquainted with the collection housed at the institute. This collection includes type series of new species of reptiles found in the territory of Kyrgyzstan and has significant scientific value for studying the biological diversity of Central Asia. "Preserving this heritage is extremely important, and we urge you to pay attention to this issue. It is a valuable contribution to the preservation and inventory of the biological resources of the region," Atambaev quoted.

Furthermore, he reported on a request from the staff of the Kazakhstan Institute of Zoology to preserve the museum collection.
