Construction of the 110/35/10 kV substation "Kur-Terek" has begun in the Naryn region.
The construction of a 110/35/10 kV substation named "Kur-Terek" has begun in the Naryn region. According to the Naryn Electric Networks Enterprise, this project is being implemented to ensure reliable electricity supply to new industrial, residential, and social facilities. As a result, the original plans were modified, and instead of the 35 kV substation "Kur-Terek," the construction of a 110/35/10 kV substation and a 10.42 km overhead 110 kV power line has been included in the capital plan for 2025.
It is also worth noting that in the industrial park "SEZ Naryn - SEZ Kashkar" in Kur-Terek, the project "Two Countries - Two Parks" is being implemented, which involves the construction of four industrial enterprises. Additional electrical capacity is necessary for their stable operation.
The implementation of the new project will relieve the existing 110/35/10 kV substation "Naryn-1" and create conditions for connecting new facilities, such as residential complexes from GIK and the reconstructed "Naryn" airport.
Construction work started in April 2025 and is currently ongoing actively. A 400 kVA transformer substation has been installed for temporary power supply to the construction site in the "Kur-Terek" area.
Funding for the construction of the substation is being provided by "NES Kyrgyzstan" from its own resources, with the planned commissioning date for the facility set for the end of 2026.
