Recently, a video has become popular on social media, where one of the workers involved in cleaning the slope shares his thoughts on the matter.
“Employees of the Kichi-Kemin village council, the communal service, the police department, and even railway workers are engaged in cleaning the stones with inscriptions,” the video notes.
In response, the Kemin district state administration made a statement:
“These stones were not placed by the order of any akims. Various organizations created these inscriptions for their advertising. We, as part of environmental protection activities, are planting trees on the mountainside and are conducting cleaning operations beforehand,” their message stated.
It was also reported that on the road leading to Lake Issyk-Kul, the dismantling of advertising images from the mountain slopes is taking place in the Kemin district of the Chui region.
According to information from the district state administration, a directive was issued at a recent meeting to remove advertisements that degrade the appearance of the mountains.
Based on this, work is being carried out to remove advertising materials from the mountain slopes.
