According to their information, the exhibition serves as a visual expression of memory, where each element becomes an emotional imprint captured in painting. "Trace of Memory" reflects what remains after experiences, losses, and presence, turning each painting into a metaphysical mirror of the artist himself.
Eldar Aitmatov, a graduate of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels, creates paintings that combine European artistic tradition with his own profound meditativeness.
His artistic thinking has been influenced by both local masters — Theodor Herzen and Ibrahim Bakirov — and foreign artists, including Oleg Vukolov, Toghrul Narimanbekov, and Harro Erhart.
The exhibition will feature both early works of the artist created immediately after his studies and more recent pieces that reflect his intense creative quests and inner evolution.
Eldar, the son of the famous writer Chinghiz Aitmatov, uses the language of abstract painting to engage in a dialogue with history and heritage, conveying meanings through color, rhythm, and texture rather than words.
