Instructions for Kyrgyz citizens in the UAE when evicted from hotels
The Consulate General of the Kyrgyz Republic in Dubai has issued instructions for citizens facing eviction from hotels in the UAE. This document contains recommendations on actions to take in situations where hotels demand payment for accommodation.

It is noted that the UAE authorities have instructed hotels to extend the stay of guests who are present at the end of their accommodation period without charging fees under the current restrictions. In case of attempted eviction, citizens are advised to act as follows.

First of all, it is important to remain calm and politely remind the hotel of their rights to continue their stay, referring to the instructions from local authorities. The consulate emphasizes that the hotel is obliged to allow continued accommodation without payment during the period of restrictions.

Citizens are also advised not to leave their room voluntarily, not to pack their belongings, and not to sign eviction documents unless alternative accommodation is offered and the reasons for eviction are explained.

It is necessary to request the presence of a responsible staff member, such as the shift manager or hotel manager, and demand that the request for an extension of stay be recorded in the hotel log or system.

In case of pressure from the hotel, insist on calling the police (emergency number 999). If the hotel administration persists in eviction, one should call the police themselves or ask hotel staff to do so for official documentation of the incident.

The consulate strongly recommends not to pay for accommodation out of pocket, as such payments are usually non-refundable.

It is also advisable to document everything that happens: take photos and videos, record the name of the hotel, the names of staff, and keep correspondence and receipts.

Citizens should immediately inform the embassy or consulate about the situation, providing the name of the hotel, address, room number, contact details, number of occupants including children and elderly, as well as the demands from the hotel.

If eviction has already occurred, it is recommended to stay in the lobby or on the hotel premises until the police arrive or the issue is resolved with management, and to contact the foreign institution immediately.

Additionally, for communication with hotel staff, citizens are provided with a brief phrase in English that emphasizes their status as "stranded guests" and the need for an extension of stay without payment.
