In Kyrgyzstan, 7,700 cases of ARVI and influenza registered in a week

From February 23 to March 1, 7,711 cases of acute respiratory viral infections and influenza were registered in Kyrgyzstan, as reported by the Department of Disease Prevention and State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance, according to information from 24.kg.

Experts note that compared to the previous week, the incidence has decreased by 15.4 percent.

Among the sick, 72.2 percent are children under 14 years old, which is equivalent to 5,600 cases. Of these, 9.4 percent, or 726 people, had to be hospitalized.
Epidemiological surveillance of severe acute respiratory infections and influenza-like illnesses continues in Bishkek, Osh, and Tokmok.

Doctors strongly recommend that the population adhere to preventive measures, avoid crowded places, and refrain from self-medication. It is necessary to contact local clinics at the first signs of illness.
