
About one hundred citizens of Kyrgyzstan are in Iran, most of whom hold dual citizenship. This was reported by the Director of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Seytek Jumakadyrov.
The majority of Kyrgyz citizens in Iran are women who have married local residents.
“We have not received any requests for evacuation. However, 11 citizens are on standby. We are ready to organize their departure from the country if necessary. The consul maintains constant contact with them,” he added.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs continues to monitor the situation and keeps in touch with Kyrgyz citizens located in Iran.
