Starting this year, training of specialists in the field of psychology and pedagogy will begin.
At a recent meeting of the committee dealing with science, education, innovations, culture, sports, and youth affairs, deputy Gulsharkan Kultaeva raised the issue of the shortage of school psychologists.
She asked representatives of the ministries about the possibilities of increasing the number of specialists in this field.

In this regard, it was decided to organize the work in stages, starting from the district level, depending on the qualifications and availability of specialists, with subsequent distribution to schools,” she added.
Deputy Minister of Science, Higher Education, and Innovations Durus Kozyuev reported the existence of faculties and departments of psychology in higher educational institutions.
“However, in recent years there has been a shortage of qualified psychologists. In this regard, this issue has become a priority. Starting this year, training of new profiles of specialists — pedagogical psychologists — will begin,” he noted.
