The competition gathered over 200 participants
The grand opening of the Bishkek City Sumo Cup took place on March 1 at the Specialized Children's and Youth Sports School of Olympic Reserve named after Ratbek Sanatbaev, as reported by the press service of the city hall.
More than 200 athletes are participating in the tournament, representing Bishkek, Chui Region, Sokuluk District, and Issyk-Kul Region, as well as students from the Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn.
The competitions are held in three age groups: under 12 years, juniors under 18 years, and adults over 18 years.
Special attention is also given to the youngest participants — five-year-old girls.
